Conductive Ink Workshop
Updated: Nov 25, 2019
On November 14th, RyeTAGA had the pleasure of welcoming James Lee from Jones Packaging and Mickael Rougette from Volera Inc. to host a Conductive Ink Workshop in our newly named, Mary Black Boardroom. It was a full house!
Students were given an informative presentation about how these special inks work in conducting electricity and how they are utilized within the industry. It was very interesting to see Mickael set up and calibrate the printer so that students could watch a live demo on how a mini circuit is printed on a plastic substrate. Students also had the opportunity to build their own conductive ink circuits that were powered by a battery, but small enough to fit in their pockets and take home with them! Overall, this workshop was a great learning experience for GCM students and we cannot thank James and Mickael enough for taking the time to come out to Ryerson University and for giving such an insightful presentation and demonstration.
